Frequently Asked Questions

What type of therapy do you offer?

All therapy services are currently provided virtually at this time for individuals aged four and above.

What type of treatment approaches do you use in your practice?

We draw from an infusion of evidence-based therapy modalities including Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Root-Cause Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT).

Are therapeutic services covered by OHIP?

Unfortunately, not at the present moment, but are often partially or fully covered by insurance plans. Insurance plans differ in what they cover, so please contact your specific provider for coverage details.

What are your fees?

We offer three types of sessions: brief individual therapy (30 minutes) at $100; regular individual therapy (50 minutes) at $130; and, extended individual therapy (80 minutes) at $180

How many sessions will it take before I start to see or feel an improvement?

It depends! This is based on the individual and the issues being addressed. Some of you will feel relief and a positive shift after just a few sessions; for many people, noticeable progress can begin within 6-12 sessions, especially for focused, short-term goals; and, others may benefit from a longer process, particularly if they’re working on deeper or more complex challenges.

What should I expect from our sessions?

In a therapy session, you can expect a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings with a trained therapist. The therapist will listen without judgment, help you clarify your goals, and work with you to develop strategies for personal growth and well-being. Sessions are collaborative and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
